So happy to share that the raised funds have been donated to Birchway Niagara (formerly/still referred to as Women’s Place of South Niagara)!
This would not have been possible without all those who purchased, so THANK YOU to each and every one of you!!!
We were able to donate $2800 through e transfer (to avoid a substantial fee with that amount) so they were able to get all of the money!
The person I spoke to was so kind and sweet! I shared with her why we wanted to do this, and she confirmed that the home we stayed at for a night when Thea was a toddler, and where she did her counselling out of, were the same – just out of two places within Niagara Region.
There will be no media release, other than what I am putting here, and her sharing it on her socials, for reasons related to why we chose donating to the shelter!
It made us feel so wonderful to have this chance to give back! I also spoke with her about sharing our story for them to use for fundraising purposes, so we will see what comes of that!
